As many of you know last weekend (9th April) was the annual Very Vintage Day Out and due to limited funds I decided that I would not attend therefore I was in a permanent funk all day. FOMO (fear of missing out) had spread from head to toe and I needed to get over it pronto so operation glam went into full swing. My hair has been a bit of a nightmare as of late so I opted for a hair scarf and a bumper bangs which are definitely fast becoming my go to and I will film a tutorial at some point! And brought out my Ava dress which is definitely my most glamorous dress pairing it with my casual shoes as I had to walk to the supermarket.

On the 7th of February the Moonshine Rod and Custom club held the annual American Vehicle day, a fantastic event with food stalls, clothing, AMAZING cars and the Miss Moonshine/Rod and Custom pageant hosted by Glory Days Magazine. I attended and took a whole lot of photos which I have decided I will put out in a large blog post this Friday – so watch out for that! Anyway, Glory Days Magazine had the brilliant idea of hosting an after party at the Motel Bar (a tiki themed bar #glorious) and here’s what I wore to that.

I don’t own a lot of evening/formal wear, I usually dress up my day wear with jewellery and fancy hair which usually does the trick! But I recently purchased the PUG Ava swing dress in black (reviewed here) and I haven’t had many occasions to wear it so the Glory Days Miss Moonshine after party was definitely the perfect excuse! Below are some photos of me looking a bit glum after a long day in Upper Hutt (sometimes that much sun can wipe you out!) Also thanks to my gorgeous boyfriend for being my photographer for the night.

Pinup Girl Clothing -Ava Swing Dress in Black Taffeta

This year was my first time participating in the Black Friday sales – although I didn’t buy a lot I do feel like I truly treated myself. There was SOO much hype around the Pinup Girl Clothing sale and I kind of dismissed it at first then it came to the night of the sales… Dresses, blouses, shoes, skirts were scattered all over my instagram feed. Taunting me, I’m sure of it. So I decided to have a wee peak at the website and came across a deal I couldn’t refuse the Ava Swing Dress in Black Taffeta for $86.00 USD! I compared prices and made sure I wouldn’t be stung by customs fees (I have learned that lesson the hard way!) and their price came out on top. Sometimes you have to treat yourself and a dress like this is definitely worth it.
