I’m not going to lie to y’all – I’m very short on time this week so I’m keeping it real simple & sweet! This week I’m bringing to you a cute outfit of the day also known as an OOTD post but with tons of photos and promises of a better post next week. What do you as a reader prefer; photo heavy posts or word heavy posts? Recipes or fashion? Please let me know down below!

I am so sorry for the lack #pinupchristmas outfits! This is only my second one and it’s already the ninth of December; how horrid! This cute outfit embodies the festive spirit from my vibrant red Lindy Bop dress to my Elf hat – it’s the whole shabang. I know A LOT of you enjoyed my cupcake decorating photos from earlier in the year so I thought I would recreate it but make it more CHRISTMASSY (honestly, I have never said that word as much as I have been in the month of Blogmas). The cupcakes I’m baking here are using my favourite chocolate cupcake base with mint icing and minty chocolate from Whittakers – there will be a recipe post up later this week so stay tuned. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as my boyfriend and I enjoyed taking them!

Whilst I was up in Auckland a couple of months ago I had the opportunity to shoot with an amazing photographer by the name of The Undefined Photography. I thought I would dedicated these high quality images (I wish all my post’s photos were this nice) to a dress review – after all I love this dress! A huge thank you to Katherine ( The Wardrobe/The Undefined Photography) for giving me such an incredible experience – she made me feel so comfortable during the photo-shoot (which is no easy feat, I’m an awkward person) and she made every photo look incredible and each photo feels unique and different to the rest. Check out her blog here – she has amazing outfit of the day posts and interviews with some incredible pinups such as Miss Hero Holiday and Miss Victory Violet plus she is just a beautiful person inside and out! This year I wanted to give a solid attempt at the annual Pinup Christmas Countdown; a lovely concept thought up by the gorgeous Miss Rouge, sharing a festive pinup outfit everyday counting down to Christmas! Here’s my first attempt at a Christmas-y outfit; I don’t have a lot of green but I have a gazillion red dresses so here’s the first of many!

Well we all know how much I love the brand Lazybones (here’s a link to a previous review of the lazybones Laura dress in watercolour)! Lazybones has been a stand out company for me ever since I first laid my eyes on the Laura dress in Watercolour in a local repro shop (and I bought it that day)! Lazybones isn’t targeted at the pinup community but embraces key components of 1950s dresses with a twist – full circle skirts that are mid length, fitted bodices, capped sleeves AND the prints!! Lazybones prints are by far my favourite they have such a vintage vibe to them without looking kitsch or tacky – I love them!! Can you tell I’m a fangirl?? For this post I am going to keep it as an OOTD as my last post on Lazybones was a review but I will bring up some points from the last post here!

Well, it’s finally here.. Winter. It was inevitable really but I was still hoping it wouldn’t happen. Unfortunately I have zero winter approved clothing but I do have at least ten dresses made out of the lightest cotton ever and a few cardigans from k-mart (which aren’t doing the trick)! So I’m left with hypothermia feels every time I leave the house or in fact the comfort & warmth of my bed. So I have come up with a Winter Wardrobe Wishlist. This is a general overview but I feel like it covers all of the bases; warming factors and keeping my cheesecake pinup aesthetic – cute and practical. I hope this can help some of you that are having a style block or just need some encouragement to buy more clothes. Please excuse the huge Collectif Clothing influence – there are just too many nice things on their website!!

Saturdays are one of my favourite days of the week; I get to spend the day with my boyfriend, go food shopping, laze around and last Saturday was no exception! I’ve been dying to wear an amazing hair scarf that I had won in a pinnylicious giveaway but I felt that all my of my dresses weren’t the right shade of blue. That is until I realized I had the perfect dress in my wardrobe all along; a turquoise dress with pale pink flowers that matched the turquoise and pink of the hair scarf perfectly – as soon as it clicked I knew I had to pair them together.

As many of you know last weekend (9th April) was the annual Very Vintage Day Out and due to limited funds I decided that I would not attend therefore I was in a permanent funk all day. FOMO (fear of missing out) had spread from head to toe and I needed to get over it pronto so operation glam went into full swing. My hair has been a bit of a nightmare as of late so I opted for a hair scarf and a bumper bangs which are definitely fast becoming my go to and I will film a tutorial at some point! And brought out my Ava dress which is definitely my most glamorous dress pairing it with my casual shoes as I had to walk to the supermarket.
Dress: Pinupgirl Clothing -Ava Dress
Hair scarf: Nana
