OOTD – The Ella dress in Izu from Lazybones

Well we all know how much I love the brand Lazybones (here’s a link to a previous review of the lazybones Laura dress in watercolour)! Lazybones has been a stand out company for me ever since I first laid my eyes on the Laura dress in Watercolour in a local repro shop (and I bought it that day)! Lazybones isn’t targeted at the pinup community but embraces key components of 1950s  dresses with a twist – full circle skirts that are mid length, fitted bodices, capped sleeves AND the prints!! Lazybones prints are by far my favourite they have such a vintage vibe to them without looking kitsch or tacky – I love them!! Can you tell I’m a fangirl?? For this post I am going to keep it as an OOTD as my last post on Lazybones was a review but I will bring up some points from the last post here!

Hat: K-mart
Hair Flower: Daisy Jean Floral Designs
Earrings: Lovisa
Sunglasses: Farmers
Necklace: Opshop
Dress: Lazybones – Ella dress in Izu
Belt: Hellbunny – Two Lippy Ladies
Shoes: Number One Shoe Warehouse
Bag: Made my Nana

I was sent the amazing Ella dress in Izu which looks even better in person. In the past I have only owned the Laura dress style so the Ella dress was new to me but I genuinely love the cut – the style of the sleeves and breathable torso is just perfect for the upcoming heat of summer.  In these photos I’ve doubled up in petticoats – one is my longer Hellbunny and another is a shorter petticoat just to fill out the dress; I like the fact that you can wear the Ella dress with two petticoats or none at all – it looks great either way. I can’t wait for it to heat up a little bit so I can wear this to the beach!
